A Brave little girl

The Alexandria Lynne Memorial Foundation was established in 2010 to remember a brave little girl - Alex, diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease.  Over a 2-year period, Alex demonstrated tremendous strength and stamina as she lived with a difficult illness.  To those that knew her,  each and every visit to UM Mott Hospital, was an example of courage.

Alex was able to "Make a Wish" and that was to meet the Princesses at Disney World.  December of 2009,  “Alex” was a guest of Give Kids the World in Orlando, Florida where she experienced an exciting and magical week.  She enjoyed horseback riding, playing in the Castle of Miracles”, eating her favorite ice cream all throughout the day, having

Pizza delivered to her cottage. At Disney World, she met her favorite princesses - Cinderella, Snow White and Tiana.

One of Alex's most courageous moments during her illness was throwing out the First Pitch at the Detroit Tigers game - September 2009.  What an amazing pitch and moment of victory for her.

Now, in 2016, through the Alexandria Lynne Memorial Foundation, it is our mission to provide support for other children in pediatric hospitals and those visiting
Give Kids the World. The foundation is also pleased to provide assistance to families with children diagnosed with life-threatening conditions.
